Christian Richter
Christian Richter has extensive experience in the field of energy-efficient refurbishment and combines construction site experience with strategic and practical expertise in construction consultancy and business development. He plays a central role in the Energiesprong initiative. As co-founder of the Energiesprong Global Alliance, he is responsible for the international transfer of knowledge and shapes the dissemination and implementation of the Energiesprong methodology in Germany, worldwide and in the UK.
In Germany, he has supported the market development of the German Energiesprong team in the building sector and in strategic consulting under the leadership of the German Energy Agency (dena) from the very beginning. His involvement with Energiesprong DE underlines his multifaceted role in promoting this innovative renovation technology and his strong commitment to establishing and advancing the principles of Energiesprong in Germany.
Elia Cardone
Elia Cardone complements the DEPACT team with his wide-ranging experience in energy-related building optimization, subsidy consulting and sustainable construction planning. As an expert in refurbishment projects, he has supported engineering offices, federal ministries and energy agencies in implementing innovative solutions for the construction and housing industry.
With a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering (Energy and Buildings) and a Master of Science in Green Building Design, Elia combines technical know-how with interpersonal sensitivity. His experience in coaching and developing the potential of managers makes him an important source of inspiration for sustainable and holistic solutions in the DEPACT team.
Melanie Hofmeister
Melanie Hofmeister ergänzt das DEPACT-Team mit umfassender Erfahrung im Bauen im Bestand und in der nachhaltigen Weiterentwicklung bestehender Gebäude. Durch ihre Tätigkeit an der Schnittstelle von Architektur und Bauausführung verbindet sie gestalterische Qualität mit technischer Präzision und wirtschaftlichem Verständnis.
Mit einem Bachelor- und Diplomstudium an der Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck steht sie für eine analytische und zugleich kreative Herangehensweise an komplexe Bauaufgaben. Ihre Spezialisierung in der strategischen Weiterentwicklung von Bestandsgebäuden und in seriellen Sanierungsansätzen macht sie zu einer wichtigen Impulsgeberin für skalierbare, ressourcenschonende und zukunftsfähige Lösungen im DEPACT-Team.
Florian Bonert
Florian Bonert is a product strategist focused on sustainable construction and the energy transition. With a background in Sustainable Business and Innovation (M.Sc.), he brings expertise in digital tool development, stakeholder coordination, and strategic innovation. For over eight years, he has specialised in demand aggregation for climate-friendly building solutions and the digitalisation of renovation and installation processes. Florian co-founded Shiftup, a platform for demand bundling, and the industry initiative “Ohne Hände keine Wende”, which unites major renewable energy companies to tackle the sector’s skilled labor shortage.
At DEPACT, Florian works on EU-funded projects that pilot serial renovation solutions for social housing across Europe. His focus lies in advancing digital tools and standardising retrofit processes using prefabricated components. With a talent for translating complexity into scalable, user-focused systems, Florian helps shape DEPACT’s climate-friendly renovation strategies.
Amy Egerter
Melanie Hofmeister complements the DEPACT team with extensive experience in working with existing buildings and the sustainable further development of the built environment. Through her work at the interface of architecture and construction delivery, she combines design quality with technical precision and a strong understanding of economic considerations.
With a Bachelor’s degree and a Diploma from the Leopold Franz University of Innsbruck, she represents an analytical yet creative approach to complex construction challenges. Her specialisation in the strategic development of existing buildings and in serial refurbishment approaches makes her a key driver of scalable, resource-efficient and future-ready solutions within the DEPACT team.
Arno Schmickler
Arno Schmickler is a sustainability strategist with over 20 years experience of working internationally on energy-efficient building retrofits, urban innovation, and the development of strategic projects and partnerships. In 2014, he introduced the Energiesprong model to the UK and successfully raised start-up capital to establish Energiesprong UK.
Arno has a strong interdisciplinary background and specialises in developing innovative business models to deliver scalable solutions for decarbonising our existing buildings. He also advises on cross-sector strategies that bridge architecture, technology and policy to accelerate the green transition in the built environment.
